Hearing The
RUMOURS OF FLEETWOOD MAC

Rumours of Fleetwood Mac 2000 flyer

On Wednesday 4th October 2000 I was back at the Town Hall in Cheltenham to see a second Fleetwood Mac tribute band, this one, going under the name of "Rumours of Fleetwood Mac".

The show was split into two parts, the first part being dedicated to the Peter Green period of the band with tracks like ALBATROSS, OH WELL, BLACK MAGIC WOMAN, SHAKE YOUR MONEYMAKER, GREEN MANALISHI (WITH THE TWO PRONGED CROWN), and one of my all time favourites MAN OF THE WORLD.

The second part of the show was dedicated to the famous line-up of Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, Christine McVie, John McVie, Mick Fleetwood. Amongst the songs performed from this period was, GO YOUR OWN WAY, LITTLE LIES, EVERYWHERE, THE CHAIN, DON'T STOP, RHIANNON, SECOND HAND NEWS, and a superb version of SONGBIRD.

Whilst I enjoyed the show I did not think that they were as good as Fleetwood Bac.
